Mulches are materials that put to the surface of soil for a variety reasons. Plastic mulches various colours have been developed and employed in agricultural production methods. Colored plastic used modify radiation budget prevent water loss. It also helps with weed insect infestation, as well temperature regulation, efficiency, plant development, yield, quality. This paper reviews discusses understanding prospective application coloured improve physical attributes growth, crop mulches' effectiveness minimising detrimental impacts environmental stress on crops is explored. The impact has documented by several researchers vary from area crop. Various physicochemical mechanisms described result increased productivity when employed. significant temperature, moisture, holding capacity, according study. Clear white plastics lower soil, but black blue raise it. A higher number fruits, roots, tubers, bulbs were produced used. TSS, Vitamin C, proportion liquid diverse plants all improved significantly. Infestation weeds viral diseases found be significantly reduced. Reduced growth pest microplastic pollution, puddling, structural loss, reduced soil-microorganism activity some disadvantages mulches.
